Golf Course Policies & FAQs

  • Dress Code Policy:

    • We allow soft spikes only
    • Shirts must be worn at all times
    • Appropriate fashion tops for women

    Rain Policy:

    • If It is raining or a player has an emergency prior to the start of play, the starter may return any fees paid
    • There are no refunds or fees adjustments at any County golf course after play has begun

    Other Club Policies:

    • USGA Rules govern all play
    • Please repair your ball mark and one other on the greens during play
    • Carts must remain on paths around all tees, greens, and entire par 3s
    • Personal coolers, outside food and beverages are not permitted on property
    • All alcohol purchased on site must remain on site
    • Pace of play target of 15 minutes per hole or 4-1/2 hours per 18 holes
    • Replace all divots in fairways and fill divots with sand/seed mixture provided on all par 3s
    • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart

    Additional Information:

    • You are responsible for any injury to people and/or property caused by your actions, including errant golf shots

    ADA Notice:

    Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the County of Los Angeles, Department of Parks & Recreation, has designated an ADA Coordinator to ensure compliance with the non-discriminatory provision of the ADA. Upon three days notice to the respective golf course’s general manager, the Department will provide ADA accessible carts to individuals requesting such accommodations. Upon three days notice, sign language interpreters and related material in alternative formats (Braille transcript, large print, audio-record, video-captioning and live-description) or any other reasonable accommodations are available to the public for County activities and events.

  • Is Los Amigos open to the public?

    Yes. Los Amigos is a Los Angeles County public golf course. Open every day, rain or shine, 365 days a year.


    How far is the golf course from the airport?

    Los Amigos Golf Course is 17 miles from Los Angeles International Airport. Just a short 20 minute drive. Click here for directions.

    Los Amigos Golf Course is located at 7295 Quill Drive, Downey, CA 90242.


    How early can I call to reserve a tee time?

    On weekdays, we begin taking reservations at 6 am and on weekends, we begin at 5 am.


    How early should I arrive prior to my tee time?

    We recommend that you arrive at the golf course at least twenty minutes prior to your tee time to ensure that all check-in requirements are fulfilled and that you will have ample time to warm-up and become acquainted with the golf course.


    Does Los Amigos offer any junior or senior rates?

    Juniors must be under the age of 18 and may play anytime during the week for $5.00 and may play after 11 am on weekends for $9.00. Seniors 65 and older must purchase an annual Senior Card to receive the senior rate and must present the card at check-in. Seniors may play Monday through Friday at a rate of $14.00 per person with a valid LA County Senior Card.


    I don’t have my own clubs; do you offer club rentals?

    We offer rental clubs for $20.00 per set.


    What credit cards does Los Amigos accept?

    We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.


    Does Los Amigos host tournaments or banquets?

    Yes. Los Amigos hosts many tournaments as well as banquets throughout the year. To book a golf tournament or banquet, please call (562) 923-9696.
